On May 16, the Festival lost a dear friend and comrade when Si Garber passed away after a battle with cancer.
Si was an integral part of the festival family as long as any of us can remember, mixing the sound on the mainstage from his booth in the middle of the field.
Through sunshine and rain, good times and bad, we could always count on Si to bring out the very best in the music – from the stage to our ears. His love of music and our shared passion for the Folk Music Festival bound us together through the years and he will be deeply missed, not simply as a colleague but a dear friend.
His thoughts were with the Festival right up until the end, and today our thoughts are with him, his partner Diane, his son Travis, his family, and his multitude of friends.
