Musqueam Artist Call Out

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival has been a Canadian cultural institution since 1978. It is a three-day annual festival that takes place in ʔəy̓alməxʷ (Jericho Beach Park), on the unceded territory of the Musqueam Nation. Now in its 47th year, the festival’s mission is to bring traditional and contemporary folk and roots music to diverse audiences in an environment of community collaboration and discovery.

We would like to collaborate with an artist from Musqueam Nation to create a t-shirt design for one of our merchandise items this year. Our goal is to make the festival a culturally inclusive and representative space, and we strongly value the opportunities we have to showcase local artists in all
disciplines.
