Getting in and out of the Festival

Everyone can enter the Festival through the Main Gates. You can use the Accessibility Gate if you have accessibility needs. Entrance through the Service Gate this year is only for accredited staff, performers, and service providers. All gates are night time and emergency exit gates.

Getting to Jericho Beach Park

Jericho Beach Park is located in the City of Vancouver, on 4th Avenue West, just west of Alma Street.

TAKE THE BUS

If possible, use public transportation. The #4 UBC travels towards Jericho Beach Park along 4th avenue. Exit the bus on the 4000 Block stop, and walk.

From Downtown

Estimated: 30 minutes

Catch the #4 UBC going down GRANVILLE STREET.

From Around Vancouver

The #7 DUNBAR bus stops at the corner of 4th AVENUE and ALMA STREET, about 2 and 1/2 blocks from the East Gate entrance. You can also catch the #2 MACDONALD bus along BURRARD STREET downtown, or along CORNWALL AVENUE. Transfer to the #4 UBC or the #7 DUNBAR at 4th and MACDONALD STREET, ride west [if you’re facing the mountains, which is north, west is to your left].

The #84 UBC starts from the SkyTrain Millennium Line at VCC-Clark Station, and connects with the Canada Line at Olympic Village Station, and major transfer points along 2nd, 6th and 4th Avenues. Does not stop at the Festival entrance; walk from Alma Street. Limited weekend frequency (15-20 minutes Saturday; 30 minutes on Sunday), and does not run late Saturday and Sunday evenings.

The #9, 14 and 99 routes provide service along Broadway to Alma at 10th Avenue, approx. 1 km walk to the festival entrance.

PARK YOUR PEDALS at a Bicycle Parking Lot

We proudly provide bicycle parking in two supervised lots. FREE for volunteers and by donation for Festival patrons. Lots are located close to West 4th Avenue near the East Gate and near the West Gate. We operate using a ticket exchange system, much like that at a coat-check.

Bikes are not permitted on the Festival site and should not be locked to the perimeter fence surrounding the Festival.

From Kitsilano and eastward

From the Seawall continue through Kits Beach Park to Point Grey Road and from the Burrard Bridge, use York to Point Grey Road. Click here for an updated City of Vancouver cycling map.
