Twin Flames | ON

Twin Flames is a husband and wife duo that combine genres, languages and instrumental range to deliver a powerful sound that is both contemplative folk and unapologetic rock ‘n’ roll – although indie rock and folk pop are also labels assigned to their music. Their unique style and sound make it difficult to describe what they do using a single genre, but was is clear is they offer a memorable show with the perfect blend of music, comedy and thought-provoking stories.

Chelsea June (Algonquin, Métis, Cree + Settler) and Jaaji (Inuk from Nunavik and Mohawk from Kahnawake) have been making music together since 2015. Over the past eight years they have collected over 40 music nominations and awards. With a seamless mix of English, French, and Inuktitut, they weave together storytelling, soaring harmonies, and belting vocals to convey a message of unwavering celebration and hope.

On stage, the duo creates imaginative soundscapes using indigenous spirit flutes, traditional drums, and western instruments. The result is a warm, perfect blend of sounds – twin flames that will draw you in and take you on a journey that illuminates and speaks to the human experience.
