The Milk Carton Kids

Since Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale formed The Milk Carton Kids in 2011, they have enjoyed a rapid ascension to the top of the indie folk world. Their 2013 record, Ash and Clay, received a Grammy Nomination for Best Folk Album, and they were nominated for Group of the Year in 2014 by the Americana Music Association.

Altogether, have recorded seven albums, and many consider their 2023 release, I Only See The Moon as amongst their very best. It’s a perfect distillation of their music: two voices blended in spellbinding harmony, accompanied by subtly perfect acoustic instrumentation in support of some of the best songs in contemporary music.

Whether singing a hurting ballad about love gone wrong or expressing slow-burning outrage at the inequalities plaguing contemporary society, The Milk Carton Kids never forget their sense of humour. With great playing, soaring vocals and a leave ‘em laughing approach, The Milk Carton Kids are an unforgettable live act that is very much at the top of their game!   

The Milk Carton Kids were one of the most anticipated acts booked to play last year’s festival but unfortunately were unable to perform. Luckily, the duo had a free place on their dance card this year and will be gracing our stage.
