This dynamic seven-piece group plays a unique form of music that draws inspiration from a mix of Korean pansori, Irish traditional, American country western and bluegrass, and Romani jazz manouche. The result is unexpected, spellbinding, a little quirky, and just tremendous fun, all executed with verve and superb musicianship.

The band was originally created as a side project by two high-profile music arrangers, high-profile music arrangers, Jinwoo Park and Hyunbo Kim. They gained fame as one of South Korea’s best known folk pop bands via their catchy and extremely popular Korean TV show soundtracks. They formed a touring ensemble, and Second Moon was born.

This is a group of intrepid musicians who are fearless when it comes to incorporating new sounds and instruments into their music. Their prodigious musicality and sense of adventure makes this band a true crowd-pleaser.

Second Moon are: Hyunbo Kim (guitar, mandolin, bodhran, Irish whistle), Younghoon Lee (guitar), Jinkyung Choi (piano, accordion), Yunjeong Jo (violin), Jinwoo Park (bass), Jongsun Park (drums), and Danhae Oh (vocals).
