Paul Pigat is widely considered one of the best guitar players in North America. He has one of the most restless, combustible, musical imaginations – crammed like canned heat into a single body. Blessed with a jazz man’s sheen, a rockabilly heart, and a hobo’s soul, his musical projects span many projects. In addition to his own bands, and sharing the stage with luminaries like Jeff Beck and Albert Lee, Paul also teaches guitar Master classes locally, virtually and at International Guitar workshops. For our special VFMF at Home concert, you’ll hear Paul playing and singing both solo, and backed up beautifully by The Grand Koolios, a group comprised of three of Vancouver’s most diverse, talented and in-demand session musicians. Their collective biographies read like a who’s who of the top blues, country and music worlds. Together they serve up sweet, tasty and funky sounds. This virtuosic, vital, formidable vanguard of veterans are Rob Becker, bass | Tim Hearsey, guitar | Chris Nordquist, drums.
