When Juno Award-winning roots-rockers the Bros. Landreth caught a break in their schedule, Joey Landreth took it as a chance to step forward and test his creative waters with his 2017 debut solo album, Whiskey.
Whiskey was an extension of the kind of eclectic and deeply meaningful songs produced by the band, accentuated and amplified by Landreth’s dynamic guitar stylings and passionate vocal performances. The album and subsequent touring earned rave reviews from critics and fans, showcasing Joey as a songwriter, vocalist, musician, and performer in his own right.
Seeking a new creative challenge, Landreth recently stepped out of the proverbial comfort zone, writing completely on his own, as well as alongside young songwriter/producer Roman Clarke, a bold step, but one he approached with great relish and excitement.
