VFMF 2019 Online Holiday Auction

We are thrilled to announce the return of our Online Holiday Auction! Once again we’re serving up an exciting variety of unique items and experiences for your bidding (and gifting) pleasure.

It takes a village to make this Festival happen. Help us produce the most magical Festival yet by participating in our Online Holiday Auction November 18th – December 2nd, 2019!

This year, we will be using 32Auctions, a safe, secure site that hosts online auctions for charities and non-profit organizations. In order to place a bid, you will be required to create a 32Auction account and login. For more information on the bidding process, please visit 32Auctions FAQ’s.  

Ticket sales make up a fraction of the cost it takes to make our Festival and funds generated through the online auction will make a direct impact on our endeavours as a community-focused event.

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is a Canadian Registered Charity that:

  • Keeps our festival green and preserves the beautiful Jericho Beach park
  • Provides accessibility services to patrons with disabilities and/or mobility issues

Mission Folk Music Festival

The Mission Folk Music Festival was formed in 1988 by founding artistic director Francis Xavier Edwards and some musical friends who wanted more opportunities to play music for an audience. The first festival was a one-day event and featured Shari Ulrich, Cotton Street Band, John McLachlan and others (see Archives for complete list.) Since then, it has grown into one of the finest performing arts festivals in the country, showcasing emerging local and BC musicians and bringing both popular and rarely-heard world artists to the Fraser Valley. The 2020 Festival takes place July 24,25, 26 and features on-site camping.

Chan Centre for Performing Arts

Talking Stick Festival

As a registered non-profit Society, Full Circles Talking Stick Festival, now in its 19th year, began as a way to showcase and celebrate Indigenous art and performance to a wider audience. From its humble beginnings, this unique and exciting event has grown into a full 2-week Festival held annually in February at locations across Vancouver. Now attracting over 20,000 attendees each year and still growing, we are noted as being the premier, multi-disciplinary Indigenous arts festival in North America.
