Making a legacy donation to the Festival nurtures and sustains this spirit. It ensures that the music keeps playing for many years to come.
After you’ve provided for your loved ones, please consider including VFMF in your will so future generations will continue to experience this wonderful tradition of music and culture.
Ways to Give
There are many ways to for you to leave a lasting legacy:
A residual bequest
You can designate a percentage of the residue of your estate
A specific bequest
You may leave a set sum of money
You may also leave other types of gifts such as Securities, RRSPs, and RRIFs.
Our Commitment to You
The Festival will use your valued gift carefully and cost-effectively so it has the greatest impact. We welcome a discussion with you regarding how you would prefer your gift to be used.

Another Way You can Leave a Legacy
In 2016 the Festival launched an Endowment Fund which now is at $42000. The Festival receives a small amount of interest the fund generates each year. The Endowment Fund doesn’t help us operate annually, but does provide a Legacy fund should the Festival need capital funds for a building and/or find itself needing to pay debts upon dissolution.
Your donations are entrusted to the Vancouver Foundation for investment and you receive a charitable tax receipt.

Monthly Giving
Your monthly gift is the most effective help you can provide. Year-round cash flow helps the festival enormously.
