TAKE THE BUS
If possible, use public transportation. The #4 UBC travels towards Jericho Beach Park along 4th avenue. Exit the bus on the 4000 Block stop, and walk.
Estimated: 30 minutes
Catch the #4 UBC going down HOWE STREET, one block west of GRANVILLE STREET
From Around Vancouver
The #7 DUNBAR bus stops at the corner of 4th AVENUE and ALMA STREET, about 2 and 1/2 blocks from the East Gate entrance. You can also catch the #22 MACDONALD bus along PENDER STREET and BURRARD STREET downtown, or along CORNWALL AVENUE. Transfer to the #4 UBC or the #7 DUNBAR at 4th and MACDONALD STREET, ride west [if you’re facing the mountains, which is north, west is to your left].

PARK YOUR PEDALS at a Bicycle Parking Lot
We proudly provide bicycle parking in two supervised lots for only $2 per bike per day. Lots are located close to West 4th Avenue near the East Gate and near the West Gate. We do not offer a bike-valet service; rather, we operate using a ticket exchange system, much like that at a coat-check.
Bikes are not permitted on the Festival site and should not be locked to the perimeter fence surrounding the Festival.
From Kitsilano and eastward
From the Seawall continue through Kits Beach Park to Point Grey Road and from the Burrard Bridge, use York to Point Grey Road. Click here for an updated City of Vancouver cycling map.
IF YOU MUST DRIVE
Please come early if you intend to drive. You may be able to find parking on side streets, but please respect the No Stopping and Resident Only parking signs in the neighbourhood. You will be ticketed, maybe even towed! There is pay parking at the Jericho Sailing Club and limited space at the Jericho Hill Centre, located at 4196 West 4th Avenue. The Festival is not responsible for any parking fines or cost of towing of anyone attending the festival.
If you are driving, please sign up for the Vancouver Folk Music Festival Pick-up Pal. This is a group made for anyone who would like to share a ride to the Festival at Jericho Beach Park. Carpooling is a great way to save on gas money and carbon emissions made from driving your own vehicle. Because there is limited parking at the Festival, this option is encouraged for drivers to maximize efficient car use!
We still highly encourage people to use public transportation and bikes, as parking space is very limited.
Ease of accessibility for our patrons with physical or other disabilities is important to us, that’s why the below is part of our Universal Access program. More information about our Universal Access Program can be found here.
- Easily accessible drop-off area located at the east side of Jericho Beach Park; HandyDART service pick-ups and drop-offs located at the West end of West 2nd Avenue, at the Universal Access entrance.
- Limited number of parking spots for those with a Universal Access Parking Permit; located near the Service Gate at the west end of Point Grey Road.
