Formerly of The Cape May and Pale Air Singers, Calgary singer-songwriter Clinton St. John has been referred to as Flemish Eye Records’ poet laureate; a storyteller who builds narrative landscapes with signature companion drawings and paintings.

This multi-instrumentalist and visual artist’s creative output was partly born out of a response to small-town life. Quiet and time conjured vivid imagination. His dreamy, cinematic soundscapes are built around surreal psych-folk songs. Delicate phrasings are backed by dense, sonic sculptures for a sound that strikes a fine balance between troubadour and avant-garde rock . 

Clinton is accompanied at the festival by his band mate and partner, Lorna St. John, who adds haunting melodies to Clinton’s beautiful and dense lyrical content.
