Kung Jaadee is a storyteller, educator and author who has been sharing First Nations stories for 30+ years across Canada. She belongs to the X̱ aayda (Haida), xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), Tlingit, Tsleil-Waututh Nations, and is also part Hawaiian. See youth performing for youth! Get in the groove with the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and the Saint James Music Academy marimba ensembles.
Angela Brown, The Ta Daa Lady, is well known for her colourful, unique and celebratory Nylon Zoo – a series of inflatable, hand-made sculptures for storytelling inside, Stumpy the Puppet show and a variety of costumes (animals and plants) for parades and dances. This event is both entertaining and participatory for the whole family. This year, Angela is bringing along her spectacular, brightly colored Dragon. Her wings flap in the air, and her eyelashes flutter in the wind.
At the Little Folks Village, volunteers will offer a Creation Station, where kids of all ages can create cool creatures and take-home art. Visit the expanded water play zone that includes water toys, bubbles and wands!

We can’t wait to see you for a weekend filled with fun, creativity, and culture at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival!
