Notice of Annual General Meeting
The 2012 Annual general Meeting will be held on March 06, 2012 at the Croatian Cultural Centre @ 7PM.
It’s time for our Annual General meeting again, and we invite you to attend. The meeting is open to members in good standing so this is an excellent time to renew your membership or join our society. Sustaining and current members do not need to renew their membership. Annual membership is yours for any donation of $35 or more and being a member of the society provides you with an opportunity to participate in general meetings and elect the directors of the society. Membership is an excellent way to get informed about the progress of the society and provides you with an opportunity to participate in the society’s committee business. You must attend the AGM to vote; voting by proxy is not permitted.
Call for nominations:
Every AGM 1/3 of the society’s director positions are up for election. Accordingly, we are accepting nominations for up to 4 society directors to serve until the 2015 AGM.
Potential Nominees should:
- Be a Member in good standing of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival Society for a minimum 3 months before the Annual General meeting.
- Download the nomination below
- Collect the signatures of 3 members of the society in good standing
- Compose a one hundred-word candidate’s statement, to be published to the membership
- Mail the completed nomination form and candidate statement to:
