Food Vendor Application

The food area at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival exists...

  • To provide Festival-goers with high quality food at a reasonable price.
  • To provide high quality food that reflects the cultural diversity of the music the Festival presents
  • To provide, when possible, fundraising opportunities for non-profit organizations who's aims are consistent with those of the Festival, and
  • To raise revenue for the Festival.

Fees

The basic fee for food vending is C$2,000 plus GST, or 20% of gross sales [whichever is greater]. Fees for non-profit organizations can be negotiated.

Please provide a complete list of menu items you propose to sell at the Festival and prices.

*Electricity/Propane
The Vancouver Folk Music Festival provides each food vendor with a basic electrical service of four [4] 15 amp circuits. Any additional electrical service may be provided, but there will be an additional fee. NOTE: We do not provide propane for vendors.

Please list your electrical and gas requirements. We need to know about all the equipment you propose to use.

*Experience
What experience do you have? Please tell us about your food handling, selling experience, and your experience at other festival or special events.

*Space Requirements
Most food booths at the Festival are from 10' x 10' to 20' x 20'. Please tell us your booth size, and describe what the structure is made from and how it is constructed.

Food Area Vendor Selections are usually completed one month before the Festival dates.
