Community-Building Organizations: Community Village Application
Each year the Vancouver Folk Music Festival invites a diverse group of 40 non-profit organizations to have a presence at Jericho Beach Park during the Festival. This high-traffic tent-and-table space gives non-profitorganizations the opportunity to connect directly with the Festival's diverse audience about vital projects. We provide this space at a fee that we believe keeps it accessible to small and medium-sized non-profits.
We encourage Community-Building Organizations to *"bring the project to the Festival"*. The Community Village is not just an opportunity for you to distribute literature and speak with the public, but also to bring your organization's vital work to the folk and allow them to interact with it. While not mandatory, we encourage you to get creative and think of engaging ways to help folks understand and support the important work you do!
The Community Village participation fee includes 2 individual day passes for Saturday and 2 individual day passes for Sunday for your table staff (with additional tickets available to you at Early Bird prices). We will reserve you a 10 x 10 space on the high-traffic pathway to the Mainstage on the Festival grounds in which to set up your display. We will supply a table and two chairs and we ask that you bring your own 10x10 tent. The fee for set up and passes, table and chair rental, is a total of $275.
Upon receipt of a successful application you will be contacted with more information about fee processing and day-of set up.
Please submit your application ASAP -- as these spots tend to fill up quickly!
